How to get to Bonito?

The city is located 297 km from the capital, Campo Grande, and borders Guia Lopes da Laguna (which is the closest city to Bonito), Jardim, and Bodoquena, also recognized as tourism references in Mato Grosso do Sul.

The easiest way to get to the city is through its Regional Airport (BYO), which has been operating since 2005 and is only 15 km from the city center, about a 15-minute drive.

However, it is also possible to reach the city by another route, through Campo Grande Airport. Upon arrival there, it is necessary to complete the transportation by car, on a trip of about 4 hours.

Located 23 km from downtown, Abismo Anhumas is a kind of crevice that leads you to a cave. The place is impressive and is one of the most famous tours in the city. However, its cost is quite high.

The cheapest visit, for contemplation only, costs an average of USD $ 200, and can go up to USD$  400 for the most expensive and complete package on site. The truth is that by paying much less, you can visit other tourist spots (including caves) that are as stunning as the abyss.

Underestimated – Surprised the Guru

One of the coolest and most surprising curiosities of the city, which almost no one knows, is that it was elected as one of the safest destinations in the world, precisely because it has a Security Management System (SGS), to prevent any accidents, raising tourism standards.

It is also worth noting that the municipality was awarded an international safe tourism seal called “Safe Travels,” created by the World Travel and Tourism Council.

Bonito also has the international Responsible Tourism seal, which ensures that all attractions in the region comply with the required safety protocols, as well as being completely eco-sustainable tours and attractions.
